WELCOME TO DR. MAC BRUNSON AND FAMILY!!!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Dr. Donald McCall (Mac) Brunson as our new Pastor at First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Brunson, who will preach his first sermon as Pastor April 9, has served as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas since 1999. He has also served as Pastor of Green Street Baptist Church in High Point, N.C., from 1992-1999, and previously in churches in Virginia and South Carolina. Dr. Brunson, who received an unanimous vote from the church after preaching the morning service, February 19, will be replacing Dr. Jerry Vines, who retired from the pastorate after nearly 24 years at First Baptist Church. Dr. Vines will continue his ministry of preaching and ministering to pastors and churches across the country. He has also developed the Jerry Vines Web Ministry at: www.jerryvines.com. We are all looking forward to Dr. Brunson and his family joining with us in Jacksonville. We know God has some very exciting things ahead for First Baptist Church.
